P. A. H. S.  MEETING OF 11/16/09

 

Chris, our President, opened our meeting at 7 PM.  It was held at the PACE meeting room in Glenbrook Elementary School.  Present were Pat and Bob Budz, Diane Wichlacz, Harry Slezewski, Sharon Bauer, Tammy Brzeczkowski, John Mihalko, Norine Heuser, Larry Puzen, Larry Szymanski, Theresa Bialozynski, Gloria Morgan, Elaine Grygiel , Bea and Dick Valley, Chris Jaworski.  Absent were Marian Schroeder and Jim Zajac who were attending a Veterans Meeting.

 

Chris introduced Elaine and Gloria representatives for the 100th founding of Pulaski activities. Kick off will be in April featuring a Centennial book.   Other activities will be celebrated through August.  They would like our participation in setting up a booth at the printery.  We will discuss it later during the business meeting.

 

The secretaryÕs report for The September 28th, 2009 meeting was read by Bea Valley. A motion to accept the report as read was made by Larry.  John seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

 

Theresa read the TreasurerÕs report from October 1st, 2009 to November 16th, 2009.  Check book balance on 9/28/09 was $7,358.73, cash received $265.00 less expense of $2,172.65 gave us a checkbook balance of $7,838.08 on 11/16/09.  Pat made a motion to accept the treasurerÕs report as read.  Tammy seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

 

Chris introduced the new board members, Norine Heuser, Diane Wichlacz.  Jim Zajac had another commitment, a Veterans Meeting.

 

Theresa thanked the people who helped at the Bake Sale.  Profit was $355.00.  The Annual Dinner profit was $92.72.   There were 11 guests and 21 door prizes.  Our annual dinner was well attended.

 

Larry gave an update on the Coke Bottle Raffle, The chances are one dollar and the tellers at North Shore Bank are selling the chances.  The top winner will receive a $50 dollar savings bond, a twenty five dollar gas card and a ten dollar gift certificate.

 

Tammy reported on the web site updates.

 

Pat encouraged discussion on the proposed brochure. Several suggestions will be implemented.

Chris indicated the Artifacts and collection policy meeting with Marian, Pat, Chris and John will be rescheduled.

 

Election of officers:   Bob made a motion to accept Norine Heuser as secretary, Pat as vice president and Chris as our President for one year.  Motion seconded by Tammy.  Motion carried. Ballots were passed out for the election of treasurer.  Theresa and Larry Szymanski were candidates.  Results, Larry Szymanski will take over as treasurer. Theresa was thanked for her years of service.

 

Finally, we discussed our participation in the 100th year celebration.  We will concentrate on promoting our museum and be open according to the scheduled festivities.  Tammy will be our spokes person and relay our wishes to Gloria and Elaine.

 

Pat reported that the Microfiche machine is now housed at Citizens Bank in a climate controlled room.  Bob and Joe Kind moved it using Gary Gajewski`s truck and dolly.

 

Next meeting will be held on Monday February 22nd, 2009, at the Pace meeting room located in Glenbrook Elementary School.

 

Tammy made a motion to adjourn to end the meeting at 8:40 PM.  The motion was seconded by Diane.  Meeting ended.
