PAHS MEETING OF JUNE 22, 2009

At 7:05PM our president Chris Jaworski brought the meeting to order in the PACE MEETING ROOM at Glenbrook School. Present were Marion Schroeder, Sharon Bauer, Theresa Bialozynski, Harry Slezewski, Dick Valley, John Mihalko, Larry Puzen, Doris Malcheski, Mary Kurzynski,, Bob Budz, Tammy Brzeczkowski, Bea Valley and Chris Jaworski. Absent were John Wendzikowski, Richard Hodkiewicz and Pat Budz.

Treasurer, Theresa, read the income and expenses from April 24 to June 2, 2009 expenses of $402.38 gave a total check book balance of $8,251.59 on June 22, 2009. A motion to approve the TreasurerŐs Report was made by Sharon and seconded by Larry. Motion carried.

OLD BUSINESS: ARTIFACTS AND ACQUISIONS. Marian thanked the museum helpers. She suggested a volunteer notebook. A motion to use a separate notebook for volunteers was made by John and seconded by Mary. Motion carried. A motion to join the Chamber Of Commerce for $85.00 per year was made by Larry and seconded by Harry. Motion Carried. . Marian will be picking up microfiche of the Pulaski News starting with the 1938 issue. BY LAWS: A fall meeting will be scheduled by Chris.

GROUNDS AND MAINTENANCE:Harry felt our aged toilet should be replaced. A motion was made to replace the toilet with a second hand one by Larry and seconded by Mary. Motion carried. Larry reported that the roof was fixed. Larry will get up on the roof to look at the work before winter sets in. The rear parking lot needs restructuring. John made a motion to give Harry and Larry the authority to get this project done for no more than $600.00. Sharon seconded the motion. Motion carried. If the project should exceed $600, they need to get in touch with Chris.

VOLUNTEERS:Chris read an email he got from Pat thanking Doris for offering to take Tuesdays and our Sunday open days. Bea and Dick were thanked for their service on Thursdays and Tammy for opening the museum on the first Wednesday of the month from 6 to 8PM. Chris and Marian will find volunteers for the Polka Day weekend. POLKA DAY FLOAT: Chris will be going to the Iola Car show and hopes to find the right car for the Dillinger Theme.

NEWSLETTER:It will be out in the fall.

MEMBERSHIP: Doris removed some members who did not respond to the letter.

PUBLIC RELATIONS: Tammy changed the picture of our website, pulaskiwihistory.com. She showed the website after the meeting.

ANNUAL DINNER MEETING AND FALL BAKE SALE: The Bake Sale will be October 23, 2009 and the Annual Dinner on October 28th 2009. Tickets will be $12. Pam Janssen will be our speaker.

RAFFLE: It will be one month. Bob made a motion that we apply for a non profit permit. Tammy seconded it. Motion carried. Chris is taking care of getting the permit. The raffle will be held at North Shore Bank. The person who guesses the correct amount will receive a $50.00 savings bond courtesy of the bank, second place a $25.00 gas card and third place a $10.00 gift certificate. We tabled the suggestion by Larry to help at a NEW Fund raiser being held August 22, 2009.

NEW BUSINESS: SURVEYORS EXHIBIT: Chris mentioned that Lisa Van Horn would be setting up the exhibit Thursday, June 25th, 2009.

STONE BARN: The Chase Annual Picnic was rescheduled for Sunday, June 28, 2009. Proceeds will be directed to the Stone Barn Fund. Tammy made a motion that we set up a separate bank account for the archeological study Stone Barn donations. John Mihalko seconded the motion. Motion carried. The land needs to be checked before road work is done.

MITCH KAPROWSKI: Chris read a thank you note from Lorraine. We had sent a sympathy card to the family with a $50.00 memorial gift.

A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Larry and seconded by Harry. Meeting ended at 9:05PM.
